Link the Hero

Sorry for the concentration of the mature rated works for a bit there, I know that’s not some folks dig and that’s fine. This one took a LOT of work, I think all in total it was about 20 individual revisions along with a huge pivot creatively in the middle.

Anyway you guys don’t care about that. I love this piece. I literally love it, this is the first of my own works that I legitimately am considering getting printed and framed.

Unlike most of my works which are grounded into one or at most two scenes (foreground and background) this is actually three scenes with a ton of post-work put in by the wife. 

For anyone who’s a fan of the Conan series, you already see it. For those who maybe aren’t, I highly recommend the movie. The connotations between the Conan movies and the Zelda games aren’t huge, but I always tie the two together just because I don’t do a ton of fantasy movies/games, and frankly, I think Link could learn a decent amount from Conan in terms of how many villains he needs to kill.
