I took liquidfire's idea and did this. Basically I deleted the cloak, only to find Midna incomplete underneath. I then reconstructed her back, mostly the head and shoulder/neck area. The hair texture was also my own.

Also, if I get enough requests, I'll upload the max file to my website and make it available for download, free of course. :D

Other notes for curious readers:
The headband shes wearing wasn't initially part of my plan, but I couldn't manage to match my texture to the hair texture on the front, and reversing it looked absolutely horrifying. So I thought a headband would be a nice transition between my model and the game model. The pony tail was made by copying the amulet like object on her front, bringing it back, mirroring it, and scaling it up slightly.

I then UVed up the hair to make it look good, UVed on the headband, and applied a meshsmooth modifier to get the look you see here.

Hm... well, it looks good overall, but there are just two things bothering me.

Give her MORE hair in the back of the head... she seems kind of bald right now. And then, her arms look a little too thin compared to the rest of her.

actually its the black background. in hindsight I should've put her on white. LOL

Very nice! The more and more I think about how I'm going to do her skin color, the more I realize I MIGHT want to use airbrushing. But I would need to find someone to help me with that.

I never actually considered what Midna looked like under that cloak. :giggle:

That's great. I like what you've done with the hair at her back and the hairband! Great stuff. ^^
