You know, I haven't played every single Zelda game but I am working on it, of the many I have played I have never seen anything (in my mind) that overtly declares Zelda and Link to be a couple, I think they respect each other and may even love each other Platonically but honestly Midna was with him every step of the way and he even saved her even after her taunting him in the begining. Just my thoughts.
